I’ve been listening to a lot of ambient or instrumental rock music recently, and I must say, it’s awesome. Doesn’t require my mind to process lyrics, and it’s easier for me to find new songs, because I’m always picky with the lyrics. With lyric-based music, one bad line can ruin the vibe, whereas with ambient music, it’s more about sound design and atmosphere. I can just switch my brain off, which I was chasing.
